The Door is Open

- Feynman wrote ‘The door is open’ thus legitimizing his vision of scientist as an artist, overthrowing conventional ‘applied science, fundamental science’ divide, overthrowing alleged inability of a scientist to appreciate a ‘whole flower’ (as art sees it) while bisecting “flower petals” for research (as scientists do). He said ‘opportunity’ for the door is ‘open’ to blend art and science, and to appreciate their intricate joinings, and our evolution to find tightly integrated beauty in intersections.
-Epictetus said the ‘The door is open’ thus legitimizing suicide, and overthrowing Christian cannon laws forbidding suicidal to be buried next to peaceful dead in Christian cemetery (like they care).
-Ramana said ‘The door is open’ thus legitimizing awareness, and overthrowing conventional Hindu archaic laws forbidding various non brahmin castes to pursue rituals in Hindu ceremonies (and they do they care).
-Feynman said “rejoice” for the door is “open”; Ramana said ‘awake’ for the door is ‘open’; Epictetus said ‘depart’ for the door is ‘open.
All the three essentially meant compassion and the brevity of life…..
